The Phillips Industries Trailer Receptacle Socket serves as the electrical connection point between the tractor and trailer wiring systems. When the trailer harness is connected, electrical signals pass through the socket to supply lighting, ABS, and auxiliary functions. The socket remains fixed to the mounting surface while plugs are connected and disconnected during trailer changes. Electrical continuity is maintained as the vehicle operates over varying road conditions. The integrated socket design simplifies connection management during service or replacement. Wiring is secured using ring terminals to maintain proper contact. The Phillips Industries 16-7842 integrates a QCS2® socket into a sealed receptacle assembly.
