WIX Filters Engine Oil Filter
High-output diesel engines place sustained demands on oil filtration due to heat and soot generation, and the WIX Filters Engine Oil Filter is used where higher contaminant loading is expected. This spin-on oil filter uses a synthetic blend media formulated to retain fine soot and sludge while allowing oil to circulate at the required rate. The steel canister encloses the element to manage pressure variation that occurs during cold starts and temperature changes. At the mounting surface, the WIX Filters 57398 filter’s base plate is formed to support even gasket contact against the engine block. Internal sealing components are selected to remain stable as oil temperature fluctuates during extended operation.
