A tandem configuration is used to separate braking load so pressure loss in one circuit does not eliminate braking capability entirely. Bore sizing and internal valving are matched to maintain balanced pressure output between the primary and secondary circuits. Cast body construction provides dimensional stability under repeated pedal input rather than flexing under load. Sealing components are arranged to maintain pressure separation between circuits during normal operation. This WABCO 4684110050 brake master cylinder is specified where dual-circuit hydraulic braking is required rather than single-line systems.
