Jost Trailer Landing Gear
The Jost Trailer Landing Gear manages vertical trailer support during coupling and uncoupling operations. As the landing gear is cranked or powered, the internal mechanism raises or lowers the trailer front to align with the tractor's fifth wheel. This controlled movement allows the kingpin height to be adjusted before connection or separation. The legs transfer trailer weight directly to the ground while the tractor is positioned or removed. During parking, the landing gear holds the trailer steady without relying on the tractor frame. Once coupling is complete, the legs retract and remain stowed during transport. The Jost B10066.68.4 is configured for outside-mount landing gear applications.
