Caterpillar Engine Coolant Filter
Maintain cooling system chemistry with the Caterpillar Engine Coolant Filter. This Caterpillar 4355142 spin-on filter is an ultra-high efficiency unit designed to strip contaminants and scale-forming minerals out of the coolant as it circulates. Unlike standard filters, the 4355142 is a "blank" filter (non-SCA) used in systems already running extended life coolant (ELC) to remove the debris that otherwise eats away at water pump impellers and liners. It features a reinforced canister to handle the constant pressure cycles of a working diesel engine. Keeping this filter fresh prevents the sludge buildup that leads to radiator plugging and high oil temperatures.
