Stemco Drive Axle Wheel Oil Seal
The Stemco Drive Axle Wheel Oil Seal controls lubricant containment at the wheel end. As the axle rotates, the seal maintains contact between moving and stationary components to keep oil within the hub cavity. This containment allows bearings and internal parts to remain lubricated during operation. The seal responds to rotation and temperature changes without manual adjustment. It remains fixed in position while the axle shaft and hub rotate around it. Service occurs during hub maintenance rather than daily operation. The Stemco 373-0223 is specified for Pro-Par trailer axles and applications, including Fruehauf, Eaton P-22, Meritor TP, and Dana systems.
