Stemco Hub Cap with Pipe Plug
The Stemco Hub Cap with Pipe Plug closes off the wheel hub opening while allowing internal pressure to equalize during wheel rotation. Once secured to the hub face, the cap seals the internal cavity, keeping lubricant contained as the hub and bearings rotate around the spindle. The pipe plug provides an access point for servicing while remaining closed during normal operation. As the wheel turns, internal air movement occurs naturally, and the hub cap stays fixed in place while the rotating assembly moves beneath it. The cap does not regulate motion or lubrication flow but acts as a boundary between internal and external conditions. The Stemco 343-4281 supports hub enclosure while allowing controlled access for inspection and servicing.
