Gunite Automatic Slack Adjuster
The Gunite Automatic Slack Adjuster regulates brake shoe clearance as braking occurs over time. Each brake application triggers internal movement that compensates for lining wear. This automatic adjustment keeps pushrod travel within an acceptable range without manual resetting. The adjuster responds only when brake force is applied and remains inactive otherwise. Its operation occurs through mechanical interaction with the brake camshaft. The Gunite AS1132 features a 1.5-inch, 10-spline configuration with a 5.5-inch arm length and includes a clevis.
