Hendrickson Steering King Pin Kit
Install the Hendrickson Steering King Pin Kit to eliminate lateral play and restore precise handling to the front axle. At the core of the kit is a 9.50-inch king pin with a 1.81-inch diameter, machined from case-hardened steel to provide a durable wear surface against the knuckle bushings under constant steering load. The pin’s induction-hardened core is intended to handle the shear forces created during tight, low-speed turns and curb-to-curb maneuvering. Precision-ground shims and thrust bearings are included to set proper vertical clearance at the knuckle, controlling end play that leads to wheel shudder and irregular tire wear. When installed and set correctly, the Hendrickson R-010300 kit restores proper knuckle alignment and steering control, helping the axle hold adjustment and track predictably through the service interval.
