SKF Scotseal Classic Seal

The SKF Scotseal Classic Seal is positioned inside the wheel hub to manage lubricant retention at the drive axle. During axle service, the technician seats the seal into the hub bore before reinstalling bearings and related components, establishing the contact surface that rides against the spindle. As the axle rotates under load, the sealing lip maintains contact to keep oil inside the hub cavity while limiting the entry of road debris. This version is intended for Mack drive axle setups and measures 1.250 in. in width to match the specified installation space. The SKF 42672 provides proper lubrication control at the wheel end during heavy-haul operations.
