Stemco Steering King Pin Set
The Stemco Steering King Pin Set supports steering movement by forming the pivot point between the axle and steering knuckle. As the steering wheel is turned, the knuckle rotates around the king pin axis, allowing the wheels to change direction. This rotation occurs repeatedly during low-speed maneuvering and highway driving. The king pin set keeps the knuckle aligned while handling vertical load from the vehicle’s weight. Steering input is transferred through this connection without allowing excessive play. The set is applied during axle service to restore proper steering articulation. The Stemco K131R is specified for Rockwell and Meritor non-driving front steering axles in 12000 lb MFS-12 configurations.
